Celebrating 76 years of the worlds largest biker party on the planet!
With 75 years under it’s belt, the Sturgis Rally 2016 will continue to be the world’s largest biker party!
From it’s humble beginnings in 1938, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally this year celebrates 76 years of bikers gathering in Sturgis South Dakota (a sleepy town of about 6,500 residents located in Meade County). This year, it is expected that nearly
1 Million Party Seeking Bikers
will come to South Dakota looking to join the largest biker party on the planet celebrating harleys, biker culture and freedom.
Join the 76th Anniversary Party!
One of the largest draws during the 2016 Sturgis Rally will be the unprecedented lineup of Sturgis Rally Concerts. Offering nightly live entertainment at hundreds of locations, bikers can celebrate and enjoy whatever music they prefer. Many gravitate toward some of the largest including concerts at the Buffalo Chip, the Glencoe or the Full Throttle Saloon.
Because the rally is located in the beautiful Black Hills, many bikers enjoy joining one of the many coordinated rides that are scheduled or visiting any of the multiple national monuments including Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Mountain, Devil’s tower in Wyoming or traveling the majestic needles highway – all within a day’s ride of Sturgis. If touring is your bag, then check out our list of rally day trips. When visiting the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally you’ll marvel at the majesty that is South Dakota!
Of course not all the hundreds of thousands of bikers that visit the rally can stay in hotels and lodging in and around Sturgis, thankfully, the Black Hills area opens it’s doors to our visitors and offers a wide variety of accomodation options thorughout the area. Whether you are looking for a campground, a bed & breakfast, a rental home, looking to rent a peaceful cabin or lodge, or even find a luxury suite in one of the region’s top hotels, Sturgis visitors can find just what they need to rest themselves after a long day of touring.
